I am doing a project of energy harvesting from piezoelectric. The voltage output from the piezoelectric looks like a spike signal but with a base-width about 3-4 milliseconds and peak amplitude 40-50 V.

I would like to convert this signal to sinusoidal format with lower peak amplitude(the signal may damp out within 1-1.5 seconds) for ease of further manipulation in signal rectification.

Can anyone give any idea to design the circuit to convert this signal?

A small inductor in series will lower and lengthen the pulse.
