We frequently see projects based on IREDs for detection and measurement.

I cannot find any non-subscription source with near infrared spectra of common substances, like water, purified mineral oil (Nujol), and vegetable oil (say, olive oil). Some of the modern plastics, such as acrylics, acetates, and polycarbonate would also be helpful. The only reference I did find was some 1920's work at 900 nm with water.

Can anyone provide a link to such information in the range from 700 to 1200 nm, particularly 940 nm?

Thank you , Bertus. Extremely useful, as usual. Near IR was just not part of my studies when I was in school.
