Hello,
I'm trying to program 2 Microchip PICs (PIC16F913) to talk to each other through IR. Does anyone have code to drive an emitter, set up a handshake, transfer and verify data? Code for any one of those elements would be helpful!

Look into using microchip's IR controllers- MCP21xx. That would be the easiest way IMO.
