Hi all,

hope I am posting this in the correct place, I have removed the electronics from a mobility scooter to put into my sons toylander, all is working well except two things.

First, as soon as power is connected the right indicator lights up and stays on constantly, if I switch the indicator on it works perfectly but switch it off and it stays illuminated.

Second when the ignition is turned on, the battery meter goes to full (off the scale) and does not move from there even when the batteries are dead. This must be some earth issue??

I am not good with electronics but willing to learn.

Could the two issues be related and any ideas would be great.

Need some photos and block diagram and wiring.

 

Are you talking about an indicator light inside the power switch?

If yes, then reverse the in & out wires.

Is the battery level meter a separate device? (analog meter) Or is it an led display, with a wire from each segment run from controller?

 

indicator is getting power directly from the battery instead of the switch. Put indicator light inline with on/off switch and that should take care of that problem.

As for battery meter, sounds to me like its analog and its broken.
