In what ways are nodal and mesh loop analysis better or worse than each other?

I've been asked this question several times and I feel like I don't have enough familiarity or experience with either analysis to answer that. Any response appreciated. Thanks!

The best way to answer that question is to gain enough familiarity and experience with both (as well as other techniques such as superposition, source transformation, wye-delta transformations, etc).

The most glaring differences are that nodal analysis has difficulty dealing with voltage sources and mesh has difficulty dealing with current sources, at least in general. But voltage sources can also greatly simplify nodal equations and current sources can greatly simplify mesh equations. When they are a problem and when they are an asset is part of what you learn through experience.
