in superposition theorem, if there is an open circuit the connected resistor will be cancelled?

    in superposition theorem, if there is an open circuit the connected resistor will be cancelled?

    Since no current can pass through an open circuit, then whether there are resistors connected on not makes no difference to the rest of the circuit.
    The resistor is "cancelled".
