Does anybody know of a current function generator IC chip? By this I mean still in production. I know you can still find some XR2206's, but we want a current IC. We need square, triangle, and sine from 0-3 volts with freq. up to 50khz. Can an op-amp signal generator meet these specs.? I have looked at schematics for these and have yet to find any specs on amplitude or freq. capabilities. Any help would be appreciated.

You could use something like the AD9833 from Analog Devices. But they are not cheap and need to be programmed via SPI.

Yeah, I was looking at that, but wanted to keep it simplier if possible. At this point I won't rule that out.
