impedance rlc in series helpl!

    Hi all, I would really appreciate some guidance on the following question. Unfortunately my Tutor contact isn’t great at distance learning so any help would be great.

    Question: Demonstrate how to calculate impedance in an rlc cicuit containing 300mH Inductor, a 300MicroF capacitor, a 2.7MΩ resistor at 100Khz frequency.

    My attempt:



    XL = 188400

    XC= 0.005


    188400-0.005 = 188399.995

    188399.995 * 188399.995 = 35494558116.0003

    R= 27000000*27000000 = 729000000000000

    729000000000000+35494558116.0003 = 35521558116.00003

    The square root = 270006573.0580611Ω

    I hope thats correct and as said any help with the structuring is much appreciated

    Use scientific notation to 4 significant figures.
    Show the formulas for XL and XC.
