Some of y'all may know about the 500 kc experimental license granted to a very limited number of radio amateurs. www.500kc.com

I was just granted the license WD2XSG/27. This was the culmination of a lot of hard work by Fritz Raab and a lot of other folks. This is a very rare opportunity to do some very interesting propagation research...especially since the sunspots are nearly non-existent this solar cycle!

I plan on being on the air by October, if everything goes well. Lots of antenna work this fall!

    Congrats Eric!

It would be nice to see some results afther some time.
Propagation is a nice subject for testing.
Do you have some fellow members to communicate with?
Are the members spread over the globe?

    Greetings,
    Bertus

This particular license is only granted to U.S. stations at this time, and we are not allowed communications with DX stations yet. Perhaps in the future the license will be modified for that.

http://500kc.com/non_us_stations.htm Here are a list of the DX experimenters, but I'm not sure how the licensing works there. Seems each entity has their own approach. Since this is not an actual amateur band, this is to be expected. Hope this helps!
