can we apply single phase 230v,50 hz, ac supply directly to the igbt?
should be the rectifier included?if not what will be the sequence?
awaiting for your valuable replies and suggestions....

No you cant. If you want to control AC loads use TRIACS or solid state relays designed for AC operation.

if we apply ac supply to the igbt ,what will happen?
will it damage igbt?
my silly doubt is if we can apply swithced dc(similar to ac),cant we apply pure ac?

The IGBT will be destroyed. They are DC devices. The drain voltage must never go negative relative to the source. Get the data sheet and read that if you still have doubts.
