Loosewire, this weekend is Memorial Day, not Veterans Day. Veterans Day, was Armistice Day, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, marking the end of WWI. Memorial Day honors the Civil War dead, and was first announced in a General Order from the Grand Army of the Republic.
Memorial day is the rememberance of all those who died, but the origins was after the Civil War, honoring those who fought in that war. It wasn't till after WWII that people started calling it Memorial Day. Memorial day was decorations day until it was declared the official name by Federal law in 1967
Armistice day was changed to veterans day because WWI wasn't the war to end all wars as previously advertised. By congressional decree, after WWII, it includes all wars, past and future. And yes, it honors all veterans.
it's a never ending scenario. Something is done to prevent an action, the other side changes their methodology.
The drone vehicles will be recognized after a period of time and the bad guys will wait for one with people. Then snipers will be deployed to keep the bad guys further out.
Politico's try to manage an ever fluid situation like a war. I don't think we can find one successful management of that in human history.
Even General George Washington had problems with the politicos.
