Ideal graph

Hi friends,
Iam doing a research project at my university. on part of my project their is to plot several graphs in my project tasks. the question is that how can we plot an ideal Step graph in excel.
with data
x-axis is from 0-5v
y-axis is from 0-65,000
how can i plot the ideal graph with this data can any one help me out from this

There are several commercial software packages that are better than Excel. You uni will probably have one of them. I suggest you ask your professor or fellow students about this. Many students tend to forget that the assigned professor is actually there to help.

There are also open source solutions. I used to use gnuplot, which works fine, but I like matplotlib, which is a python library better. One reason I like matplotlib is that I can put TeX-like expressions anywhere on the graph, which is handy for annotating technical graphs.
