Hello Sirs,

Today I got one IC sop-8 package. I have to make a board using that. I normally know IC without any backpad. this is first time I have to use. how to make back pad pin in eagle besides 8 pins. I am attaching the IC. can any one tell me the closest ic that I can use which is available in eagle libraries?
They told to connect pad to pin 5.

 

I'm not an Eagle user but this should be like every other package.

To make a back pad you add an extra pin, both in the schematic and the footprint.

This looks like an SOIC footprint plus the pad. So start there and add the pad.

(a hot air gun can/will do it too)
