I have a USB to I2C converter from I2Ctools.com.

Windows doesn't recognize it anymore. I opened it, chip IC3 gets hot. It looks like MSOP8, pin 1 is connected to the 5V flatcable terminal, pin 1 to the 3V3 flatcable terminal.

Anyone knows what this chip does?

Marking says T175 AXB.

Ok, this one is dead.

The chip is supposed to supply 3.3V to the uC which works up to 3.6V. But it provides 5V, therefore it has probably killed the uC..
