I need to know if there is ic do this function

    I need to know if there is an IC its BCD output can be chosen by selector from two BCD inputs. if it exists what is its number.

    its a 4 bit multiplexer, I will look up the number tonight.

    There are a couple out there that I found. If you want a CMOS chip try the 4551 and TTL has a 74XX257 Which has Tri state outputs.

    You need a "data selector" otherwise known as a "quad 2-input multiplexer". Try a 4519 or a 74157

    These can be used for several purposes but, as you describe, a quat 2-bit multiplexer. All bits of a nibble switch based on a single control pin.
