Looks like 1900 ohms, 5% but...burning a resistor makes it look like something it isn't.

    I am measuring 300Ω ...

    So what gives ?

1.8KΩ 5% tolerance would be my guess.
Edit: ...but if was burnt, all bets are off - possibly accounting for the measured discrepancy.

What gives? I think it's been overheated.
I also think djsfantasi is right. Try 1800 ohms, 2W, 5%

The first band seams to be white and that is 9. But on a badly burned resistor. The colors may change.

That looks to be brown, white, orange, gold. Which should be 19K ohms 5% tolerance. Though I can't really see for certain what the colors are. The orange could be faded red I guess.

What kinda resistor would measure the value lower than the code ?

    A burnt resistor.

After the magic smoke gets out, all guarantees are off.

I agree with that, unless that's an inductor. Sometimes inductors come in that package, with a green or gray color. That could explain the low resistance. It could be a 2H inductor.

My meter shows 86Ω. Thought meter battery went down, so checked with Milli-ohmter and it too gave me 86Ω.

Coding says 100Ω. Go figure!

By the way , It came from the STK One not from the panel ....and it is .in some over there thread.

this is not from the panel....I personally replaced this resistor before and now again I am doing that.

    Hello,

As it does not have a color coding for the tollerance, it could be even a 20% resistor.
That may measure between 80 and 120 Ohms for a 100 Ohms one.

So wait, which component is the one in question? The one shown in post #1 or post #14?

    14 ....

It was 100 Ω when I replaced in the first place. I did measure it.
But today I am getting 86Ω.
