I am looking to run a lepai 202o t-path amp from a 12v battery, but also be able to switch it to use with plugged in wall wart.

How do I go about wiring a spdt switch to use two power sources for one load. I can only find information on how to switch between two loads and one power source. I have attached a schematic of what I am trying to do, but when I wired it up, nothing happened.

This circuit is kink of a mess.

You need a resistor in series with your LED

You need to double check the data sheet on your voltage regulator - usually need them in series (or a resistor if they are shunt (parallel) regulators).

Also, if you are fairly "green" building circuits, post a photo of your breadboard too, there are lots of wiring errors at that level too.
Good luck.

Im not using a breadboard. This is all just wires hooked up to each other. The LED is part of the switch (ie. when turned on LED lights up). I couldnt find a schematic symbol for it.
