How to wire a mini relay?

I purchased one of these little relays and am not sure how to wire it. The datasheet is here:

http://www.taydaelectronics.com/datasheets/A-5014.pdf

Of the two shown on the last page, the one I have is "Form C".

Am I correct that:

- pins 1 and 4 are for a normally closed circuit
- pins 1 and 3 are for a normally open circuit
- either pin 2 or 5 is the triggering voltage?
- and then either pin 5 or 2 is the ground?

Many thanks!

Using an ohm-meter, you could confirm. Measure the pins you think are the coil and see if your reading agrees with the data sheet. Then measure from what the data sheet says the common pin is to the pin the data sheet says is the NC contact to check for a short.

pin 2,5 relay coil (non-polarized)
pin 1= C
pin 4= NC
pin 3= NO

always a good idea to add a diode reverse biased across the relays coil for emf/spike protection
