Hello,
I have made a kit that will close the electric windows of my brothers car,
BUT, as the windows were already closed they burnt out a relay as i only wired up one window at a time,
I have the kit all ready made using a 555 timer chip and a pulse input, the windows will cut off after about 10 seconds but if the windows are closed they just burn out my kit,
I think the relay burnt out because the window was closed and wouldn't move, i.e. the resistance in the window motor?

Is there any way of stopping the windows after the windows close or if they are close it would stop the power from trying to close them.
Here is the kit that i have made, (don't worry about the unlock relay, thats another kit)
The motor has 2 wires to it, so they swap around to open and close, i only need the close window set up.

just seen the limit switch, they will be no good, to much wiring for each car door and to place them just right in the door panel, needs to be something to do with resistance.
