I recently found an small rechargeable fan in a garage sale. I am trying to find a wall adapter to charge it. It seems to still have a pretty good charge on it and I measured the amperage and voltage at the power connector (12V 18A). Do any of you guys have any suggestions on the output requirements for a wall charger for it?

You are probably measuring the current incorrectly. You cannot measure the current by simply connecting an ammeter across the power source.

To measure current you need to break the connection and insert the ammeter in series with the circuit.

If there is an ON/OFF power switch, connect the ammeter across the terminals of the switch when the switch is in the OFF position.
