am struggling to get answer to this problem, need help plz
Problem is: I have 5km of twin core wire wounded upon a aluminium spool, when i measure the capacitance its 1.4mF, but to make it function in the system the capacitance has to be less than 0.9mF. the spool if unwinded may not be re-usable. so in as-is condition is there a way to get the value down?

 

Put a capacitor in series with the wire cable, this will lower the capacitance say a 2uF ,that
will lower it to 0.8uF.
