how to program a stepper motor?

i need help , i am using the microbasic language to program a bipolar stepper motor, but i have aproblem with the syntax of the statements,any one can help me with an example?

Can you describe the hardware you are using? A full schematic would be best. Do you have an understanding of how a stepper motor works and do you have an interface to allow your mocroprocessor to actually drive it?
