Hello every one i would like to know how to make a simple and easy IR proximity detector. Plz help me out cause i am trying to make a robot and the only thing i need is the sensors and i dont wanna buy them, so kindly help by telling me how to make the simplest IR proximity detector. Thx for ur help.

 

What would be the distanced requirement. An internet search on "IR proximity Sensor circuit" will yield alot of useful hits.

A few such sites are:

Infra-Red Proximity Sensor

Infrared beam barrier/ proximity sensor

I guess you'll have to give us some idea of what it needs to do. Just saying that you need a simple IR Proximity circuit is not enough information. Got to have more information my friend!

 

K i need it to sense at least 2 or 3 inches away from my robot, i would like to use it with my robot to sense obstacles. And i dont want to use any of the sharp and other things, i want to make it out of just a IR white tx led and a IR black rx led.
