How to get the input of multiplexer for ASM?

I am just taught using multiplexer as a controller for ASM but, I could not figure out on how to get the multiplexer inputs. Could you please explain it to me? Thanks in advance.

You're asking us to use a pretty good crystal ball, here. Do you have a sketch of this at all? What are these "Input conditions"? What are S, A2, and A3?

What is ASM in this context? Asynchronous State Machine?
