Hey guys..I'm struggling with some pretty basic principles of Circuit Analysis already. When doing nodal analysis, I can't figure out how to determine which are nodes in the circuit..is there a method to doing so? I also have trouble picking where to place loops in loop analysis.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Put simply a node is a junction between 2 components, and a principal node is a junction between 3 or more components. Choice of loops is highly dependant on the circuit at hand, and can be any choice as long as you know the rudiments of circuit analysis.

Other than that it is difficult to extrapolate further form your question. It would be a good idea to upload an example of a circuit where you are having problems, so that we can assist more fully.
