Good advice. I'd also add that having a resume that demonstrates some actual English and writing skills goes a LONG way.

"Smile at the interviewer"


Having been through the hiring process, on the interviewer side for the first time last year, it's easy to pick out insincere, beefed up resumes. Since I had to go through a lot, those were rejected immediately even though there were probably some good people in there.

My recommendation is to be honest, straight forward about your skills.
