How to calibrate a sensor?????

    Hai, i have constructed a simple light sensor using ldr, the output is amplified and given to micro-controller. I want to calibrate the sensor but i dont know how to calibrate the sensor. Can you help me to calibrate it????????????????

    Provide the sensor with a repeatable/fixed light source and set the output to what you want.
    Like using a light bulb and always setting the sensor a fixed distance from it.

    If you are looking for absolute values, you would need a calibrated photometer. What is the purpose of measurement?

    yes its all about how accurate do you need it to be..
    Very accurate=$$$ for accurate photometers,etc...

    Like KMoffett said you need to determine what level of accuracy you need and what is the purpose of your measurements.

    Even then, without basic filtering your spectral response will not match.
