    How to calculate the inductance (Henry) of a AWG 21 wire?

    Given:
    AWG 21 wire
    Turns = 11
    Diameter = 1 inch

    I think this can be solved if only I knew the relative permeability of the of the core.

    Here is a formula and inductance calculator. Note that relative permeability is 1 because your conductor is likely copper or aluminum which are not significantly magnetic materials.

    Note, you can do a google search on "Inductance of a straight wire" and get more links. There may be some slight differences in the formulas, but you can try different variants to make sure you are getting a consistent answer.
