how to calculate boost converter element parameters ?

    how to calculate inductor & capacitor values in boost converter for input voltage = 325 v & output voltage = 400v (discontinuous mode)

    Why discontinuous? And what sort of current do you expect on the output?

    output current is given to the battery,so it should be better for battery charging.

    Thanks for your reply sir,i got the answer.
    I tested with a resistor (1.2 ohms) in place of battery spec's (36v, 300ah , c10) .

    Now i need to connect a battery to the converter to charge it with 30A constant current mode but the resistance of the lead acid battery will be in milliohms. how to charge it ? if i connected a battery.

    You want to boost 320V to 400V to charge a 36V battery? Explain how you determined that.

    Thanks for the reply,
    i am drawing voltage from the mains and that is connected to single-phase rectifier. so make the power factor unity i am using boost conv instead of smoothing capacitor,not for purpose of boosting the voltage. After boosting i will step-down the voltage with high frequency transformer.
