I have assignment about this...: ( Explain the operation of field effect transistors with neat diagrams )

please could you find for me how this thing is looks like..
because our teacher gave us the assignment at the last few days and we have the final exam after one week..with a lot of homework + reports +.....

I will not understand our doctors in my college how they are thinking...

how can I explain..
see we are a student in electronic & telecommunications section and we are trying to make a project that is consist of some parts need to explain when we will show in front of our lecturer ..
so, what I meant I want understand the operation of field effect transistors...
