How SCR can be used to regulate the DC voltage?

    The only way to regulate a DC voltage with an SCR is with PWM. Otherwise you need to use a transistor to make a linear voltage regulator or use a ready one.

    You use a SCR to turn on/off the AC feeding a power supply. This can regulate the DC. It doesn't do a great job of this however, but it can handle massive loads.
