    Hello friends,

Please tell me how many types of USB ports are there i mean like i have heard that there are USB 2.0, USB 3.0, etc. Please explain me the differences between all of them and how they are used.

    Thanks in advance,

3's the best and most current and has speeds comparable to PCI express. Insane fast...So basically makes all the other video ports worthless.

usb 3 is the best and newest UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS ie USB not video port it is better described as an I/O port( in/out ).As well as the signal stream speed of older USB the current it can deliver to power a usb device is different .1.0 and 1.1 can deliver about 100m/a and usb 2 can deliver 500m/a.If you are considering something for commercial availability , then look at usb 2 as that is well established and readily available for use on billions of computers ,however usb3 is the new kid on the block and a limited market .

Yess Chrissy but USB3 is now faster then Firewire. So what happens when your video ports are slower then your USB? You use the USB as your video port. :)
