How does this work?

    Hello all,

    I have a small question...the project i am doing is a digital meter that needs calibration through serial RS232

    i want to know how should i connect (RXD,TXD) which are shown in the 2 figures...fig.1 is the output of the serial and fig.2 is the input (as shown in the arrows direction)

    You also need a RS232 level converter. Very often a MAX232 type circuit is used for this. Just Google max232

    i have made the MAX232 circuit but i don't know how these (RXD,TXD) must be connected together??

    The RxD and TxD signals should be cross-connected. That is, RxD of Device A goes to TxD of device B, and RxD of Device B goes to TxD of device A.
