    Actually this is a solar panel charging circuit is to charge 1.2V NiMH

    If this is homework, you need to post your analysis of the circuit. You also need to learn to draw schematics that are intelligible. There's an art to it and you won't go far without passable skill.

    This is the homework forum, post your analysis of the circuit.

    What charging current are you designing for?

    What is the indicator for?

    What is the purpose of the diode?

    it will charge the battery at approx 10.3 microamps, and put the led on when battery is connected.

    I just notice PNP and NPN polarity is different.... Therefore, the circuit should be like this

    Your first image in #1 was too big that it was close to 1.9M and I was compressed it to about 31Kb, it's over 60 times.
