Homework Lamps

    There was a thread last week about children not being able to see to do their homework in countries that do not have electricity (I can’t find it now). Was just looking at an advertisement: Ikea the Sweedish furniture store in UK are selling solar cell powered work lamps for £15. For each one sold one will be given to a child in the developing world so they can do their homework even if they don’t have electricity. The power of this site is awesome!!

    Nov. 2009. Yes Bill I tend to get lost in the past - anything post Buddy Holly is modern to me.

    When I was in elementary, we don't have electricity yet because we are in a rural area. When I was doing my homework, I used lamp to finish it. I know it can destroy my eyes like my mother was telling to me but I don't care. As long as I can do my homework!
