@wayneh comments in this post got me thinking. We have a Christmas Eve party at my house every year, and I used to make spiked eggnog for my guests. My favorite mix was cognac and bourbon.
If I were to make it today, I'd use "Courvoisier VS Cognac" and "Buffalo Trace Bourbon". For a half gallon of eggnog, add 6 ounces of each liquor (or more ). Note, for my non-imperial friends, a half gallon is almost 2 liters (for the engineers, 1.892 liters) and the ratio of liquor to eggnog is 1:5.
Anyone else care to share their holiday libation recipes?
