I think if he knew the cost of having a PCB build run for a couple of boards he would understand why everybody is puzzled.......

 

No I don´t fix phones, but I have a pretty good idea how the industry works. As for instance it will be next to impossible for a person to get hold of the chips that are used in the phones. The manufacturers will require an NDA signed to even look at the datasheet, and they don´t just give these away. I even have a service manual somewhere for nokia 5110 and even that phone was very complicated.

 

I have no interest in reverse engineering a cellphone. The return on investment is too small to bother with. I have even less interest in anybody wanting to get rich repairing and recycling them.
