Hi all, I am trying to fix a yarn spooler for my wife, I think i've narrowed it down to the output transistor not being up to the job, it currently has a NEC D882 transistor and a tiny heatsink for it, this machine will run for about 5 to 30 minutes at a time, and the transistor/ heatsink gets very hot. I would like to replace this with a transistor that is pin compatible and can output about 2 amps, I will also need to upgrade the heatsink alot, luckily there is lots of room for a bigger heatsink, can anyone suggest a replacement transistor and a replacement heatsink?
