    See the Picture

I have the bulb, see the attached pdf.

It has 3 pins in the ballast. I like to use this in my bench :D

Any clue on how to drive this. I know it uses 12V cause I have seen it in cars.

Wht I think is ballast uses 2 pins for Voltage, I just dunno what the third is for. Is it a PWM or pulse or just the ON pin or sumthin.

    Any body has any Ideas.

If there is going to be a pulse, it will be a starting pulse to "strike" the arc.
I see 2 wires to the socket, but I can't see how the 12v gets to the module.
Maybe it has metal in a screw well and that's the ground?

No no.. the socket is for the bulb.

Actually the photo does not show the connector in the ballast ( the black box filled with resin )

    It has 3 pin connector.

3 wires in a 12 volt system is not normal.

See my post above I think you will need an ignitor.

Oops maybe not because it looks like the ignitor is what connects to the lamp.

Don't think so. Look at your pic and the one I posted.

I think it might be a relay wire. Check this post.

Or maybe you do have an ignitor after looking again.

Why don't you post the words on the device. Looks like it might be German.

Just taking a jab at it... Could it be that your three pins are ground, low beam, and high beam???

It may look somewhat diferent depending on which car you took it from. AL Bosch make OEM variants of this unit. Each car will two modules. Look for the high voltage symbol

I was hunting for gopal's sink and look what I found

Now I need to find the connections :D
I believe this is the D2S unit as it states on the back 1200V/DC/85VAC 35W max.

This thing has an infinion uC and a stepper driver... What the hack are they for ?
