hi guys i m new on dat site. i need a little bit of information about SCR. as i know scr can be turn off by applying -ive voltage & by breaking the conduction current. i want to know dat how it will work if i remove gate voltage.

Welcome to the forums. I moved your thread to a better location.

Here is a link to the SCR material in our Ebook - http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/vol_3/chpt_7/5.html

An SCR does not need a negative voltage on the gate to turn off. When at the cathode potential, it will turn off when current through it falls below the minimum level.
