    hi
i started learning hi-tech C but there is not much stuff on the internet to learn, after i feel like hi-tech is dying and have no future and i should switch to some other compiler like c18, please help me which is better choice to learn hi-tech/C18 compiler?

i also want to know while using C18 what should i do to work for PIC16 and below devices, as C18 does not support these devices,

    thanks.

Microchip took over Hi-Tech C some years ago. And HI-Tech C is not at is end. What they (Microchip) did was to merge the HI-Tech C compilers for PIC 12/16/18 series into one compiler named MPLAB XC8 Compiler.

I used to use hi tech but now use c18.
hi tech went through some changes to make it more like c18 and screwed up all my source code !! So i moved over to c18.
