All have challenged conventional thinking, all have provided elegently simple explanations for natural phenomenon. Not all have (yet) been acepted by the mainstream.

 

I will definitely have to take a look at those, particularly Big Bang and Ice. Thank you.

My favorite, maybe not heretical, is Snowball Earth.
