Help with using a rocker switch

    I enthusiastically bought myself a small rocker switch having no idea how to use it in my circuit. Im using a 3.7 v lithium ion battery in my project and my switch says 12VDc on it.can i use it? If not what is the specification that i need.

    Yes, as long as the switch carries the current the circuit demands.

    Does the switch have an internal LED to indicate on-state like would be used in automotive applications? That would mean the LED is designed for a specific voltage, namely 12V...
