Hi im very much a noob here so if i've presented this badly then im really sorry, i didnt know where else to ask

I was wondering about what i would need to make a circuit that would increase and lower the rpms on a motor. The idea is that i would have two switches, one that when pressed would increase the speed of the motor and the other which would lower it.

Once again, very sorry if i havent put this across well or any other mistakes i might have made. Im just learning about electronics and i thought this would be a fun little project

I think you will have to submit a lot more info , so someone can advise you .

 

Digitally: I would use a microcontroller board.

Analog: I would probably use adjustable resistor (pot) instead of buttons, and connect it to 555 chip to produce variable pulse. Shorter pulse, slower motor. Longer pulse, faster motor.

 

Turning a knob is the easiest...
