Hey everyone I have a quick question. The cooling fan on my samsung television stopped working abruptly last week. I fixed the problem but don't know which way the fan was facing originally. Do cooling fans typically draw hot air out of a television, or do they blow cool air into the television. Thanks for your help

I didn't even know tv's had cooling fans.

Look at the dust on interior components. If it's on the side facing the fan, then the fan blew in. Otherwise, it pulled air out.

I liked that advice, it will get you there. If for whatever reason you still have problems think airflow, hot air rises, the fan helps the flow go where it wants to go anyhow.

Typically the fan will blow into the cabinet and onto the light bulb, if this is a projection TV.

But yes, look at the dust pattern to get an indication of the air flow direction.

Thanks for your advice. I'll bump this thread up if I have any more problems.
