Help with specific DPDT Relay understanding

    The wiring shown MIGHT be that needed to attain the max current carrying rating. It's Chinese so....

    These things are not expensive. You might consider a more reputable source, with better data sheets and real UL/CSA certs

    Hi Kermit,

    Thanks for the reply, this is the only 12V DC 10A relay I found in the electronic shop down the street and it was just for testing purposes, I thought i might be reading the diagram wrongly.

    The relay looks normal to me. But you will need two for your project.

    Your relay is single throw.......you need a double throw.

    The relay is a dual purpose DPDT or SPDT you have the SPDT constructed version.

    Thanks everyone, I guess I will have to wait and order online to be sure I get an DPDT not a lookalike with SPDT function.o_O
    I consider my question answered and thread could be closed.(if only I knew how)

    Yep..thats a SPDT relay with each set of contacts composed of 2 pins in parallel to meet the current requirements of the relay.
