Use a 7805 V reg with 1000 uF on input & .1 uF on output. Have you considered keeping relays close to lihgt pole, & run long control lines. I would then use a long terminal strip & spade lugs. I have no good plug suggestion.

I was thinking about moving my control center to the light pole like you suggested. Could I use a VGA cable to run between a couple of D sub connectors mounted on the light pole and the sensors? The cable would be 25' and the VGA cable i looked at said it was 28 AWG. With the 15 pin setup. I could run multi + and - leads to the sensor circuit if need be. Or I thought about running some phone line between some phone jacks on each device. But that would make me have to run two line.

 

Are you using Rx from post 76?, I believe VGA, & D connectors should work.

 

Yes. I was thinking about putting all circuits on post and using the cable to extend the wires to the IR sensors at the starting line.
