help with picaxe hardware

I have a picaxe 18M2 and i am having a problem with using an infrared sensor as well as a microphone. whenever i would use an irin program i can't use a microwave with the same picaxe. is there anything i should add to the program?

Not sure what a microwave input would be, but we would need a great deal more info, like a schematic and a copy of the program.
But better, would be to post those and your questions over at the PICAXE Forum. They're very helpful people.
