help with pic programming

    hi all i have bought a jdm programmer to program some 12f629 pic chips
    i am using winpicpgm to program the chips but on my programmer i dont know where the chip goes
    anyone help please

    Be aware that the PIC must be properly oriented. Read the accompanying literature very closely.

    hi how do you add a asm file to a chip is it in the same way as a hex file??

    The simple answer is you don't.

    The .asm file is a text file that the assembler/linker uses to produce the .hex machine language file that is loaded into your chip.
