I am trying to fix an older UPS equipment where the original manufacturer deleted the part numbers on some components.
The one I am dealing with are TO-3 power transistors, probably MOSFET or BJT manufactured by SGS-Thompson (now ST-microelectronics). The only signs I can read are "P592" ... does anyone have any suggestion?

Take a close-up in-focus picture of the top of the device and post it here.

Our members may be able to spot something subtle that will help identify the part for you.
